Wayne's World 2

MPAA Rating: PG-13

Entertainment: +2

Those overgrown high-schoolers, Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) are at it again. This time Wayne decides he wants to do something "big" with his life. Jim Morrison visits him in a dream and instructs him to plan a rock festival call "Waynestock." So Wayne and Garth fly to London to recruit the help of has-been rocker, Del Preston. Meanwhile, Wayne is "way depressed" when his "babe," Cassandra (Tia Carrere), gets involved with her new manager, Bobby (Christopher Walken). Garth and Wayne scheme to pull off "Waynestock" and win back Cassandra. The sensual humor and abundance of "Wayne's World-isms" will appeal to die-hard Wayne and Garth fans and the morally insensitive.

Sexual innuendos abound as the pair even make up their own slang for sex and sexual intentions. At one point, Wayne and Garth stumble into a gay bar for a humorous sequence - NOT! One unresolved subplot has Garth sleeping with a buxom woman (Kim Basinger) whom he meets in a laundromat, only to find out she wants to recruit his help to kill her husband. The film adds an occultic flavor as Wayne has regular consultations with the ghost of Jim Morrison. Morrison is used to insert moral content as he exhorts Wayne to face responsibility, but still have fun. While there are genuine moments of creativity and humor, they are intermingled with enough foul language and offensive sexual references to leave moral viewers hoping this will be the last appearance of the dysfunctional dynamic duo.
