Tom Stanfield (Ashton Kutcher), an all-around nice guy, tries to overcome his dull persona in order to win the heart of Lisa Taylor (Tara Reid), his bosss daughter. In his pursuit, Tom must face his bosss rage, a drug dealers threats and Lisas impression that Tom is gay. Tom begins his ordeal when he is duped into house-sitting for Lisa and her paranoid, sharp-tongued father, Jack Taylor (Terence Stamp). Tom barely misses stepping into a bear trap near the Taylors front door, and that should have been plenty of warning for what awaited him. Lisas drug-dealing brother, Red (Andy Richter), tricks Tom into passing a mysterious package to T.J. (Michael Madsen), one of his cohorts. Adding to the mayhem, the house is almost destroyed when its invaded by a disgruntled, fired employee (Molly Shannon) and her tattooed boyfriend. Young teenagers may buy tickets to My Bosss Daughter, but maybe not, proving themselves smarter than the grownups who invested money in this mindless production.

Particularly offensive is the light treatment of drug use, beginning with an almost comatose owl being revived by drinking drug-contaminated water from a toilet bowl. And a stoned drug dealer, thought to be dead, is buried alive in the front yard. Guys repeatedly urinating all over furniture, drapes and floors is supposed to be funny but comes across as senseless as do the two men baring their buttocks in a close-up. Off-camera two men appearing in different scenes unzip their pants and expose themselves as another joke. Lisas jilted boyfriend decides to hang himself from the chandelier in the entry way of her home. Another pointless and offensive scene involves a brain-damaged young woman profusely bleeding from a bandaged head wound. Two of Audreys girlfriends ask Tom to check their clothed breasts for cancerous lumps. In addition, foul language, including crude references to the male anatomy, requires Preview to issue a strong warning against My Bosss Daughter.
