Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving (Video)

MPAA Rating: G

Entertainment: +3

Content: +4

Winnie the Pooh is back for three holiday adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet and all the gang. In the first tale Rabbits calendar pages are swept away by the winter wind and no one knows what month it is or even what season of the year it is. And they must find a groundhog to help them figure out whether it is spring yet. The second story brings Pooh and friends to Rabbits table for a grand Thanksgiving feast. But when Rabbits detailed preparations dont turn out as expected, they must learn to be thankful for what they have, especially for the good friends sitting around the table. And finally, on a snowy Christmas Eve Rabbit remembers with fondness his friend Cassie the bird, who he brought in as a little chick and raised as his own. But having to set her free when she grew up, he still wishes he could see her just once more, especially on Christmas. WINNIE THE POOH: SEASONS OF GIVING will delight viewers, young and old, with a quiet charm and simple wisdom sadly missing in most childrens entertainment today.

The animated character of Winnie the Pooh is based on a series of children's verses created by English author A.A. Milne for his son, Christopher Robin. And in the spirit of those original tales, this 70 minute video contains three stories about sharing with others, being thankful for what you have, and the importance of spending the holidays with loved ones. With no objectionable material, and many heartwarming scenes and positive messages, we can recommend Disneys video release of WINNIE THE POOH: SEASONS OF GIVING for the whole family.
